It’s hard to think about Barolo without having the Scavino name come to mind. Now spearheaded by Enrico Scavino—who even created his own unique, V-shaped vessel for fermenting and ensuring a gentle extraction of Nebbiolo—the estate’s wines have seemingly only got better, much in part due to Enrico’s respect for traditional vinification, meticulous use of a variety of oak, and above all, emphasis on single vineyard sites.
