Armand Heitz Saint Aubin 1er Cru Murgers des Dents de Chien Rouge 2018
6 Bottles
This cuvée beautifully showcases the scarcities of Burgundy. It's a monopoly as the sole owner to plant pinot noir in this famous white wine appellation atop Montrachet. The soil's low clay content yields a pale, exquisitely elegant pinot noir. Following an 11-month maturation, the wine ages in 20-40% new oak barrels, adding depth to its character.

Fruit for this wine comes from clay-silty marl soils in the villages of Meursault and Pommard planted between 1967 and 2018. About 50% of whole clusters were used during fermentation, followed by eight months of aging prior to release. On the palate, expect a soft and silky expression of Pinot Noir perfect for drinking within the first five years of its release.

Armand Heitz Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru En Caradeux 2021
3 Bottles
Heitz describes the village of Pernand like that of Saint-Aubin, in that their potential for high-quality wines is finally becoming recognized by winegrowers and collectors alike. Cardeaux is located next to Vergelesses, though it boasts a slightly more northerly exposure. Heitz notes that both the Cardeaux cuvée's aging potential is best revealed in the 5-7 year period.

Armand Heitz
Armand Heitz is one of the dynamic faces shaking up Burgundy today. Although relatively new to the scene, Armand’s expertise surpasses his young age—and the proof is in his show-stopping bottles. Passionate for permaculture and healthy soils, Armand returned to Chassagne-Montrachet in 2013 to revive his family’s two-generation abandoned estate. He began working the soils to encourage biodiversity and soil life, then vinifies their fruits using a low-intervention mentality.
Cappellano
Few Piedmontese estates boast the history and pioneering trajectory of Cappellano. Now spearheaded by the family’s fifth generation, this game-changing estate’s wines have soared to new heights—though their history, prestige, and global renown have remained. Augusto Cappellano's commitment to minimal intervention and organic vineyard care yields bold, structured wines, refined through extended fermentations and aging in large barrels for graceful aging.
